So, I have some make-up homework here...

My girl celebrated a birthday recently. As themes go, she wanted "Lemons, bubbles, tie dye and cookout". And a Crafternoon.
Lemons, bubbles, tie dye and cookout? Well, sure, we can do that.
This summer, around here, jean cut-offs patched up and dyed up and fringed are what all the cool kids are wearing. So why not make our own? I scrounged up some jeans at the thrift shop and also sewed up some La Jolla tops, because I think they look great dip dyed.
I chose Rit liquid dye, because I've had the best luck with Rit dyes.

Here, the gals are trying an ombré technique, by rolling more and more of the garment into the dye.

Yes, I happen to have an old chandelier I only keep around just to hang in the backyard when the mood strikes me.
Between instructing the girl on dip dying, DJ-ing, and cooking on the grill, I really didn't get many photographs taken. But a bit of video!
